The Weather Bar in Outlook displays weather conditions and forecast for a geographic location. By default, Outlook uses weather data provided by MSN Weather. The Weather Bar supports third-party weather data web services that follow a defined protocol to communicate with Outlook. From Microsoft Outlook, Click File Options. Click Calendar, then scroll down to the bottom of the window to the Weather options. Click the desired radio button to choose between Celsius. When you view your Outlook Calendar, you can view the weather for a specific location in the Weather Bar. Forecasts are available for cities worldwide. You can add your favorite cities to the quick switch list to toggle the three-day forecast between different locations. The Weather Bar can save up to five different locations.

  • Third-party tools have been around for over a decade to help PC users display weather information right on the Windows taskbar. PC users who have used Windows 7 for a long time know that there was a software called Weather Bar (it is still around) to show weather information on the taskbar.
  • Easy, fun, and a single click launches the Weather app itself. Which doesn’t help us get that weather onto the Taskbar. Yes, Weather has a tiny “sun” icon on the Taskbar, but that’s the app icon, not an indication of weather, and clearly there’s no temperature information. Enter Weatherbug.com.
